The president of the Ekumfi Traditional Council, Odeefo Akyin has extolled the virtues of the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama and congratulated him on his landslide electoral victory.

According to the Omanhen, the overwhelming endorsement Mr. Mahama received at the polls last week was a clear manifestation that the people of Ghana have trust and confidence in him to lead them once again.

This was contained in a congratulatory message Odeεfo Akyin delivered on behalf of entire people of Ekumfi to the president-elect, H.E. John Dramani Mahama at the Ebiram Palace today.

He said, “I extend our heartiest congratulations to you on your remarkable achievement on your election victory as the President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana following your well-deserved and landslide victory after the 7th December polls”.

According to Odeεfo Akyin, Mr. Mahama’s respect for Nananom across the country without discrimination and his desire to distribute development evenly across the country, were significant to his victory.

He described the massive win of the NDC’s flagbearer on the December 7th as overwhelming endorsement and urged Mr. Mahama to consider same as justification of unwavering trust and confidence they have reposed in him and his party.

The NDC’s massive win, he said, echoed the desire of Ghanaians to help the NDC and His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to “Reset” the country to the path of economic freedom to improve the living conditions of all.

He stated that the people of Ekumfi were deliberately neglected by the current president because according to the president, the people of Ekumfi did not vote for a particular parliamentary candidate during the 2020 general elections.

“However, we firmly believe that you and your government will not just show us respect but you will also have Ekumfiman on your radar and give us the necessary development we need”. Odeεfo Akyin said.

He gave an assurance that the people of Ekumfi would continue to regard Mr. Mahama as their own son because he succeeded their beloved son, the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills.

“As you embark on your new journey, we kindly encourage you to embrace teamwork, foster inclusivity, and promote of the spirit of collaboration.

We have strong confidence in you as you chart a new path that will improve the plights of the ordinary Ghanaians and make their lives better to justify the high level of confidence, they have reposed in you and your party”. He stated.
