Bishop Bonegas is a Ghanaian preacher
The General Overseer of the Great Fire Pentecostal Church, Bishop Bonegas, has lambasted the government, particularly the Office of the Special Prosecutor, following the arrest of Sewdru-based business mogul, Abu Trica.
In a video shared on X on December 16, 2025, Bishop Bonegas stated that the government has failed its citizens.
Referring to Abu Trica’s recent arrest by the FBI over his alleged role in defrauding elderly victims of more than $8 million, the outspoken cleric questioned why the Ghanaian government allowed a foreign agency to apprehend a Ghanaian national.
‘Take your problems elsewhere if you can’t pay for my services’ – Bishop Bonegas tells followers
“The problems of this country start from the leaders down to the grassroots. They said Ken Ofori-Atta squandered government money and ran away to the USA, yet up to now they haven’t been able to extradite him. But see how they have given Americans the chance to arrest Abu Trica,” he said.
Bishop Bonegas further noted that leaders in the country are unable to protect the citizenry, unlike the United States, which he believes is capable of safeguarding its own people.
“Your leaders cannot protect you. They have failed you as citizens,” he added.
