Tragedy has struck the town of New Edubiase, the capital of the Adansi South District in the Ashanti Region, as a young teacher has been burnt to death under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased, identified as 36-year-old Theophrous Ofori Amanfo, reportedly lost his life after being consumed by fire in an incident that has left residents in deep shock and sorrow.
According to eyewitnesses, the tragic event occurred late Monday night, though the exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Authorities are yet to confirm whether it was an accident, electrical fault, or a criminal act.
Mr. Amanfo, who was known among colleagues and students as a dedicated and passionate teacher, has been described as humble and hardworking. His sudden and painful death has thrown the entire community and the educational fraternity in New Edubiase into mourning.
Police and fire service personnel have since commenced investigations to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
