Young boxing administrator Mubarak Yusif Nanor has officially entered the race for a position on the executive board of the Ghana Boxing Authority ahead of the association’s upcoming elections.

Nanor, regarded as one of the emerging figures in Ghana boxing administration, currently serves as a matchmaker for Legacy Rise Sports Promotions and Safe Box Boxing. He says his decision to contest is driven by his desire to contribute to the growth and development of boxing in the country.

According to him, Ghana boxing requires committed and dedicated leadership capable of improving the sport and creating more opportunities for athletes and stakeholders. He believes his experience working closely with boxing promotions has given him valuable insight into the challenges facing the industry.

The upcoming Ghana Boxing Authority elections are expected to attract several candidates seeking to influence the future direction of the sport, with stakeholders calling for reforms and stronger structures to revive Ghana’s boxing fortunes both locally and internationally.
