Young Apostles have officially written to the Ghana Football Association requesting a change of referee ahead of their Ghana Premier League match-day 32 fixture against Nations FC.

The Wenchi-based club made the request in an official letter dated Thursday, May 7, 2026, where they appealed for referee Juliet Appiah to be reassigned from the game due to concerns surrounding her recent officiating performances.

According to the club, their concerns stem from the handling of their match-day 29 clash against Swedru All Blacks, a game they claimed produced several questionable decisions that led to agitation among supporters and created a tense atmosphere at the stadium.

Young Apostles also pointed out that the referee is based in the Ashanti Region, just like their upcoming opponents Nations FC, insisting that her continued appointment could fuel perceptions of bias among supporters, despite clarifying that they are not accusing the official of any wrongdoing.

The club stressed that their main objective is to protect the integrity of the competition and maintain a peaceful environment for players, officials, and fans. They therefore appealed to the Football Association to appoint what they described as a neutral referee for the crucial fixture.

The request comes just days after Young Apostles boosted their survival hopes with an impressive 3-1 victory over Vision FC at the Wenchi Stadium in Matchweek 30.
