Renowned Kumawood actor and entrepreneur Kwaku Manu has opened up about the spiritual battles that come with fame, describing the entertainment industry as an area that needs spiritual fortification.

In an interview on UTV’s ‘Atuu’ show with host Nana Romeo, Manu asserted that stardom requires a spiritual calling, similar to kingship.

“If you don’t have the spirit of stardom, you can’t handle being a star. It’s like being a king; if you are not destined to be a king, you can’t become one,” he stated.

For aspiring actors, his primary advice was to take their spiritual lives seriously.

“The best you can do is to pray. For me, I pray a lot,” he advised.

The actor revealed that he faces unseen envy and negativity, even from people he has no business with.

He cited instances of people who dislike him for no reason while others are waiting for his downfall.

“There is one guy at a radio station, and he just doesn’t like me. Not that I have done anything to him, he just doesn’t like me. If he had spiritual backing, he would have come after me.

“There are people who are waiting for something bad to happen to me so they will talk about my matter. If those people also had spiritual means, they would have come at me as well.”

In light of these perceived threats, Kwaku Manu concluded that constant prayer for divine protection is non-negotiable for his survival and peace in the limelight.

“That is why I pray for God’s protection all the time,” he said.
