Contrary to the controversial perception surrounding Mr. Hopeson Adorye’s personality, his wife, Empress Gifty, has shed light on some of his traits that are not widely known to the public.

She described her husband as an easygoing person who is extremely loyal. However, she added that once he withdraws that loyalty, nothing in the world can change his mind.

Empress Gifty made these comments in response to questions about her husband’s numerous controversial statements regarding the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) since his removal from office.

“After such interviews, he comes home and tells me he’s thrown some bombs again. Then I tease him that he’ll be trending for a long time. That’s all he says. He doesn’t dwell on them. I know who he is and what he stands for,” she stated in a discussion with Ohemaa Woyeje

She emphasised that her husband is someone whose loyalty cannot be bought.

“When he says he’s gone, then he’s gone. That’s just who he is. So, I try not to interfere in his work matters, “she added.

Recently, Empress Gifty took to social media several times to express concerns about the safety of her family due to her husband’s outspoken stance.

She disclosed that she had been receiving numerous threats as a result.

However, when asked about the situation, she said the police had intervened and brought it under control.

“By God’s grace, the police stepped in, and everything is calm now. The threats have subsided,” she added.

Regarding her political stance, Empress Gifty, who originally supported the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before meeting her husband and later aligning with the NPP because of him, is now backing Alan Kyerematen’s “Movement for Change.”

When asked where she stands politically now, she responded:

“I was listening to a woman the other day, and she said that now she’s really feeling the heat because the country is hot, and she’s selling her vote,” Empress Gifty stated, laughing.
