Some Ghanaians have labelled Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo as confused after he announced Jordan Ayew as the captain for the upcoming two games in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

They argued that the manager’s indecisiveness regarding major decisions depicts his inexperience, claiming he is not fit to be a Black Stars manager.

Others believe the decision was long overdue and would have prevented the captaincy chaos that rocked the team in their games against Sudan in October.

Otto Addo has announced that Jordan Ayew will lead the team in their games against Angola and Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, November 7, 2024, to announce the squad, Otto Addo said that he has decided to give the role to Jordan Ayew at the expense of Mohammed Kudus.

Otto Addo disclosed that he has held conversations with both Jordan Ayew and Mohammed Kudus and that the players are satisfied with the decision.

Otto Addo stated that while Kudus has good leadership skills, he believes that the timing is not right for him to lead the team now.

    Read some reactions below:

He is really trash so why didn’t he do that the first time and now taking it from Kudus makes it look someway whiles in reality Jordon could’ve captained to avoid any drama and Kudus deputy,he is lost

    Otto Addo is confused.
This captaincy issue will cost him a lot if he does not deal with it as soon as possible.
