Ghanaian actor and football administrator Yaw Dabo has reportedly taken legal action against fellow actor Oboy Siki over comments he considers defamatory.

According to earlier reports, the two actors recently clashed during a football match organised in Yaw Dabo’s hometown.

The game, which was attended by several actors and football enthusiasts, was said to have been marred by disagreements between Yaw Dabo and Oboy Siki, allegedly over money-related issues.

After the said match, Oboy Siki returned to Kumasi and granted an interview to GhPage, where he allegedly made a series of insulting and controversial remarks about Yaw Dabo.

Among the comments he made were claims that Yaw Dabo was incapable of impregnating a woman and that he was selfish and not man enough to get married.

The remarks, which quickly circulated on social media, has reportedly not gone down well with Yaw Dabo and his camp which has made him to go and seek legal redress.

Per a writ of summons seen online, Yaw Dabo has filed a defamation lawsuit against Oboy Siki.

The development has reignited conversations within the film industry about Oboy Siki’s conduct. Although he is regarded by many actors as an elder in the industry, he has often been criticised for allegedly insulting and running down younger actors, sometimes for what colleagues describe as no obvious reason.
