Popular Ghanaian actor Yaw Dabo has strongly condemned remarks made by Dela Edem, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, against former President John Agyekum Kufuor. Edem,

During a recent appearance on TV XYZ, the NDC communicator referred to the 85-year-old former leader as “evil” and claimed that his current health issues were the result of a supposed curse.

This controversial statements quickly sparked outrage across social media as many people felt it was completely unnecessary.

In the wake of the reactions online, the CEO of Dabo Soccer Academy also joined and expressed his disgust at Edem’s comments, calling them a direct insult to both the former president and to Ghanaian culture.

“President Kufuor is over 80 years old. At that age, it’s normal for someone to need a wheelchair. To insult him for that is disrespectful and shows a lack of proper upbringing,” Dabo stated.

The actor also took the opportunity to remind Edem of the importance of respecting elders, referencing Ghanaian tradition, which forbids young people from making disrespectful remarks toward their seniors.

Dabo went on to defend Kufuor’s enduring influence, pointing out the global respect the former president still commands. “World leaders seek his counsel for wisdom. And you, Edem, are not even fit to be a gatekeeper at his house,” Dabo lashed out, dismissing Edem’s attack as baseless and uncalled for.
