Kumawood actors Yaw Dabo and Oboy Siki, popularly known as Dada Santo, have reportedly resolved their recent defamation dispute out of court.

The legal battle began after Yaw Dabo filed a lawsuit against Oboy Siki over remarks he considered defamatory.

The comments were made during an interview with GhPage Media, where Oboy Siki questioned Dabo’s involvement in football management and made claims about his private life.

During the interview, Oboy Siki alleged that Yaw Dabo was battling infertility and could not father children. He further claimed that Dabo had insulted President John Dramani Mahama.

The statements sparked widespread public debate, with many social media users weighing in on the fallout between the two actors.

Feeling aggrieved by the alleged attacks on his reputation, Yaw Dabo filed a defamation suit seeking GH₵1 million in damages.

On February 23, 2026, the two actors made their first court appearance at the High Court in Kumasi. Viral videos circulating online showed the pair arriving at the courthouse alongside fellow Kumawood personalities, including Sumsum Ahuofe, as proceedings began.

It later emerged that the court had adjourned the case to allow both parties to explore a possible out-of-court settlement. Subsequent reports indicate that the matter has now been resolved privately, bringing the public dispute to an end.

While details of the settlement have not been made public, the resolution appears to have diffused tensions between the two actors, who have both played prominent roles in Ghana’s local film industry.
