A group of elderly guests showed little interest in the upbeat performance of a Gen Z dance group, demonstrating the clear differences in what each generation liked.

In a video posted online, the man @contentsbyovee questioned whether the three ladies in the dance team were unaware of the event’s audience because their performance didn’t impress them.

The majority who attended the event were elderly people, their lackluster reactions show they were the wrong audience for the Gen Z dancers’ performance, hence a noticeable lack of enthusiasm was evident in the atmosphere.

Viewers conveyed their embarrassment on behalf of the women, speculating on the guests’ response to the dancers’ attire and contemporary dance techniques.

Many insisted the organizers should have invited a traditional dance troupe to entertain their guests rather than making them feel bored with a dance crew they couldn’t connect with.

    Below are some reactions,

@ADA BEKE❤️🦋 People wey suppose tie wrapper do atilogwu dance 😭😭😭😭💔

@just_jessy900 The audience looked so disgusted

@b_uniqu.e Wrong target audience 😂😂 if they leave those girls with those elderly women, dem go hear talk 😂

@ble_ssing_sunday These women will have stories to tell their children when they get back home🤣

@female._king No matter the audience, wtf are they wearing 😭😭 bonnet keh

@omtochi At the end of the performance: my daughter come ‘this thing you’re wearing and dancing is it good?😂😂
