Multiple wooden structures serving as warehouses have been destroyed by fierce fire that broke out on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Abelemkpe, a suburb of Accra.

According to 3news.com, on September 11, 2025, the Ghana National Fire Service reported that three fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to prevent the blaze from spreading further.

The report also stated that the cause of the inferno remains unknown.

“The fire is now under control. An overhaul operation is currently underway to completely extinguish remaining pockets of fire within the affected warehouse.

“Kudos to all firefighters and supporting agencies for their relentless efforts,” the fire service said on Wednesday night.

The blaze occurred just hours after another fire ravaged a warehouse in Laterbiokorshie, also located in Accra.
