Born Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong and known professionally as Becca, she is one of the names that cannot be missed in the Ghanaian music scene.

Becca‘s interest in music started a young age, where she was active in both church and school activities, grabbing every opportunity to showcase her vocal dexterity at talent shows.

Becca first gained recognition as a contestant on the second season of TV3’s Mentor show.

She later signed under Kiki Banson’s EKB Records in 2007 where she recorded a debut album called “Sugar” in the same year.

Before doing music fully, Becca was a childcare and education worker after graduating from Croydon University in London.

For almost two decades, Becca‘s discography includes three studio albums and countless singles like her iconic “African Woman.”

Besides music, Becca has established a rescue organisation which raises funds to help children affected by HIV/AIDS in Ghana.

In 2014, she became a Goodwill ambassador for UNAIDS.

On September 1, 2009, GLO Mobile Ghana unveiled her as one of its brand ambassadors.

Moreover, the Ministry of Youth and Sports made her one of Ghana’s official ambassadors at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
