Ghanaian songstress Efya Nokturnal has taken to social media to throw shades at the NPP Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wougon, Lydia Alhassan, in the just-ended 2024 general election.

In a social media video shared on X on December 8, 2024, Efya Nokuturnal posted a picture from a viral social media video where Lydia Alhassan was seen dancing with the caption “Woo Maame Bakooooooo… Wooo Papaaa Bebeeeeeeee!!!!”

Efya’s post has been met with reactions on social media, where some netizens have also joined in mocking Lydia Alhassan.

    Background

Lydia Alhassan and some popular MPs such as Ursula Owusu, Henry Quartey, Bernard Okoe-Boye, and many others during the NPP’s final rally showcased their dance skills before the cheering audience.

However, following the NPP’s significant defeat in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, some netizens took to social media to mock the dance of Lydia Alhassan.

Lydia Alhassan, clad in a T-shirt, white skirt, and sneakers, “boogied down” on stage, with the crowd cheering her on.

Interestingly, the video did not gain significant attention at the time the rally, but it has since gone viral following the NPP’s loss in the 2024 election.
