Singer and songwriter Efya Nokturnal has shared her aspirations of hoping to win a Grammy Award in her music career.
In an interview with GhanaWeb during Stonebwoy’s Bhim concert on December 22, 2024, the renowned musician noted that she wants to reach a level in her career where she would be recognised as a Grammy Award winner.
“I feel very inspired, knowing very well that Africans are now being nominated for Grammys, which means I can get one too.
“The Grammy is not my specific target for success, but I do want to get to a level where I am acclaimed in the highest mentions,” she said.
Efya, in the same interview, advised fellow musicians not to be worried about the pressure they receive from netizens on why they have not won a Grammy Award.
“I believe that everybody has a different life journey, but you know the fans are there to make comments to either encourage you or trigger you to say something which would become an exciting conversation on the internet. I think they should be careful about how to respond to these things and not take it personally. You know the Grammys are not going anywhere,” she added.
The 2024 Bhim Fest concert was held at the La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra.
The event saw Stonebwoy treat the audience to his best tunes from his years in music.
Top-notch musicians from Ghana and beyond, including Efya, Praye, Kwaw Kese, Edem, Spice from Jamaica, and Davido from Nigeria, also, gave fans a thrilling performance at the event.
