Peace FM presenter Akwasi Aboagye has revealed that the family of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has decided that both Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni will perform the widowhood rites at his funeral.

In a video shared on Instagram on Sunday, October 26, 2025, Aboagye explained that the decision was reached by the elders of the musician’s family, who hold full authority over all funeral arrangements.

“The elders have agreed that both Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni should perform the widowhood rites before the head of the family. It is the family who is in charge of the funeral”, he said.

The development comes after several weeks of public tension between the two women, both of whom have claimed to be the late musician’s wife.

The disagreement has generated widespread debate across social media and entertainment circles.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away in July 2025, following a celebrated career spanning over four decades.

Known for timeless Highlife hits such as ‘Yentie Obiaa’, ‘Aben Wo Ha’, among others, his music shaped Ghana’s contemporary sound and influenced generations of artistes.
