Stonebwoy’s performance in Morocco has been rescheduled

The highly anticipated performance by Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy at an AFCON Fan Zone event in Tangier, Morocco, on January 8 was postponed at the last minute due to technical challenges, according to his management.

Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, Public Relations Officer for Burniton Music Group, confirmed the postponement, clarifying that the issue originated with the event organisers.

According to a report by onuaonline.com, Adutwumwaa, during an appearance on Onua Showbiz, detailed that Stonebwoy and his team had completed a full sound check earlier in the day and were prepared to perform when they were notified of the delay.

Stonebwoy, after arriving in Morocco, went to do his sound check on the day, and there are videos online to attest to that.

“After that he went back to his hotel to prepare for the performance. While we were waiting to be called to hit the stage, we were informed that we should hold on for a while due to some technical challenges,” she narrated.

As the scheduled performance time passed, the team received further communication that the technical issues persisted.

“Later, we were informed that our performance had to be rescheduled because the challenges were still persisting,” she added.

Boateng noted that Stonebwoy remains committed to the engagement and is currently in discussions with the organisers to secure a new date and venue.
