Sista Afia is a Ghanaian musician
For nearly a decade, Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has chosen to stay away from committed relationships, not because she isn’t ready, but because of her lingering attachment to a man she loves who has never reciprocated her feelings.
Speaking on The Delay Show, the singer opened up on this personal struggle that has kept her single for nearly eight years.
According to her, there has always been one man at the center of her life, and despite the love and care she has consistently shown him, he has never reciprocated the same energy.

Sista Afia explained that her bond with this man has been so strong that it has made it difficult for her to open her heart to anyone else.
She admitted that while other men have shown interest in her, she has not been able to move on because of the feelings she carries for this particular man.
“Maybe it’s because the person I love doesn’t feel the same way about me. There’s someone I love so much, but he does not love me back. It’s funny how this world works. Someone out there would want me so badly that they would do anything to be with me.

“We have been together for a long time, and I’ve shown him my love through my actions. I always make time for him, but he doesn’t reciprocate that effort.
“That’s why I feel I love him more than he loves me; he knows it too. I haven’t been in a committed relationship for eight years, and it’s all because of him,” she said.
