Popular Ghanaian music duo, R2Bees, has revealed the reason they avoid granting interviews.

Speaking to the media after their performance at an event, they revealed that they used to grant interviews but stopped due to the media’s habit of focusing on negativity in pursuit of clout.

“When we started, we used to grant interviews and it’s not like we’ve always been like this since. I realised most of the interviews we used to grant back then, the journalists most times, try to take advantage and clout chase with it.

“They try to ask you questions that would set you up. We’re not just musicians; we’re solid human beings and we believe in promoting positivity. We know how sometimes the media focuses on negativity just for clout so we try to pull ourselves,” Paedae added.

Mugeez, who supported his music partner’s perspective, added that their primary duty is to perform, and at events, they are focused on singing rather than granting interviews.

“I believe music is all we do; we came to sing so anything apart from that is not our main thing. Once the mic on us, we just want to sing and not grant interviews,” Mugeez said.
