Charles Bissue is the Director of Operations for the Kennedy Agyapong campaign team

The Director of Operations for the Kennedy Agyapong campaign team, Charles Bissue, has said that Kennedy Agyapong’s support in politics doesn’t come from having a specific constituency or stronghold, but rather from the kind of person he is.

Speaking on Channel One TV, Bissue explained that people across the country support Kennedy, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, because they perceive him as disciplined and uncorrupt.

“… And now, they’re saying they want Kennedy. With Kennedy, his votes are not situated in one region to say this is the stronghold, even though he comes from the Central Region. His is more like a character vote. It’s cut across the country,” Bissue explained.

He continued to say that; “Somebody would think that he’s disciplined, he’s not corrupt, he’s straightforward. All these things are votes that come together.”

Bissue went on to express his optimism that Kennedy Agyapong would be elected as Ghana’s next president if he is ultimately chosen as the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer.

Shedding light on his conviction, the politician said that floating voters, those not aligned with any political party, are calling for Kennedy’s leadership, along with some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“I have done a lot of research, and I think that when we actually bring Kennedy forward, Ghanaians will vote for him. Last time we were somewhere, and even NDC, and then most of the floating voters were asking for him. The dynamics are different. The dynamics were that we were in government. Most of the appointees were coerced. They were actually pushed to follow a certain trend. Now, there’s nothing like that. People are doing that of their own volition,” he concluded.
