    In a reflective post shared on Instagram, Soberekon questioned the disturbing link between politics and National Security in Nigeria.

    According to him, there’s a recurring pattern and a sudden spike in bandit attacks, chaos, and religious killings whenever certain political figures express dissatisfaction or switch to the opposition.

    Further questioning whether these incidents are merely coincidences or if insecurity is being weaponized as a bargaining tool in the power play of Nigerian politics.

    “Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed this?

    Each time certain politicians are unhappy or switch to the opposition, there’s suddenly a rise in insecurity—bandit attacks, religious killings, and general chaos.

    Why does peace seem tied to political satisfaction?
    Is this just a coincidence, or are we witnessing a pattern where insecurity is being weaponized to bargain for power?

    When politics controls peace, ordinary people pay with their lives.” He wrote

    His statement has ignited conversations across platforms with many Nigerians expressing concerns about the connection between political instability and public unrest.

    Soberekon’s remarks come following the rise in bandit attacks and religious killings in various parts of the country.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “Which one be certain politicians? Call the former governor of kaduna state by name.”

    “This has been the pattern in Nigeria for long but the masses always put it on the current government.”

    “Even Tinubu was part of thus same system during 2014 elections against Jonathan. Papa might allegedly be a co sponsor back then.”

    “Funny thing is, the person they are up against this time is the political devil himself. They think this one is Goodluck Onyeoma, CY Tinubu will match them, Aura for Aura.“
