A lady’s expectations were cut short after visiting her new boyfriend for the first time in Ikoyi because she thought of arriving at a luxurious residence.

In the clip, the lady @rizi_jj mentioned that the man was her new boyfriend she visited for the first time at Ikoyi, but the reality she experienced was far from what she had anticipated.

She claimed to be excited when he informed her about residing in Ikoyi because it is common knowledge that Ikoyi residents are wealthy and prominent figures.

After arriving at his residence, she was surprised to discover he was living in a wooden apartment like a cubicle with substandard amenities to maintain a lifestyle.

She was disappointed and wondered why guys would rather tell lies than tell the truth.

“I was so happy when he told me he stayed at Ikoyi, not knowing it was an arranged Pako house. Why do men lie?”

Meanwhile, viewers confirmed that her boyfriend didn’t lie about his residence and her expectations were high so she was disappointed.

While some netizens speculated house rent could be more costly than mainland houses, others questioned whether she didn’t speak with him over a video call to get the facts.
