The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East in the Greater Accra, Naser Toure Mahama, has passed on.
The 60-year-old member from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was a native of Kue in the Nkwanta South District of the Oti Region.
He reportedly died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a period of illness.
Toure was serving his fourth term as MP for Ayawaso East.

He held roles including Vice Chairman of Parliament’s Energy Committee and was a member of several others.
Reports say he is expected to be buried on Monday, January 5, 2026, in accordance with Islamic traditions, reflecting his faith.
Tributes have begun to pour in from colleagues, party members and constituents, who remember him for his dedication to public service and his contributions to parliamentary work.
