2026 is finally here, and with renewed hopes, interests, and ambitions, and some Ghanaians have already been sharing their new year expectations.

GhanaWeb spoke with a few holiday revelers on January 1, 2026, at the Laboma Beach, and they shared varied expectations for the year.

“I want a better me for 2026. We want change but I know not everyone is ready to change so I just want a better me and good friends I can grow with,” a lady shared with the team.

A gentleman also added that; “In 2026, I just want to learn new ways of making money and how money works, and also investment information out there that people do not have hands-on knowledge about. Overall, I just want to be financially literate and also look back at 2025, learn what I did wrongly and and try to correct them in 2026.”

From business success, to education, self-improvement and empowerment, marriage, financial literacy and stability amongst others, these are some of the things the Ghanaians who spoke with GhanaWeb are expecting and hoping for, with faith and determination in 2026.
