Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unite and focus on reclaiming power in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking during the commissioning of the newly constructed NPP Bantama Constituency office on Friday, September 19, 2025, he stated that the NPP’s achievements under his leadership and that of former President John Agyekum Kufuor will enable the party to win the 2028 elections.

Akufo-Addo speaks about Africa’s economic future

“The work the NPP did during my time and during former President Kufuor’s time is enormous, and it is that legacy we will build on to win back power in 2028,” he stated.

Akufo-Addo expressed concern over the current state of affairs in the country under the Mahama-led administration and called on party faithful to remain focused and united.

Akufo-Addo vowed to confront ‘NDC’s alleged plot’ against Ursula, Dame, Hawa – Okoe Boye claims

“We have all seen what is happening, you’ve all seen it, things are not going well. But when we unite and do things right, I know that, with God’s help, we will reclaim power in 2028,” he added.
