West Ham United have turned down a £50 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Mohammed Kudus, as the battle for the Ghanaian star’s signature heats up this summer.

Kudus, 24, has emerged as a top target for Spurs, who are pushing to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.

The North London club have made Kudus their priority signing, convinced they can secure him for well below the £85 million release clause written into his contract.

However, West Ham’s swift rejection of the opening offer shows they have no intention of letting their prized asset go cheaply.

The Hammers expect more bids to follow in the coming weeks, with other clubs, including Chelsea, closely monitoring the situation.

Kudus has quickly become one of West Ham’s standout players since arriving from Ajax two seasons ago.

His electric pace, flair on the ball and ability to deliver both goals and assists have made him one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking threats.

For Ghana, he remains one of the Black Stars’ brightest hopes heading into their remaining World Cup qualifiers.

Tottenham’s opening move signals just how serious they are about landing Kudus before pre-season preparations begin.

But West Ham, aware of his growing value and the interest from other clubs, believe they hold the stronger hand for now, and they won’t be rushed into a cut-price deal.

With Chelsea also weighing up a formal approach, the summer battle for Kudus could become one of the window’s most talked-about sagas, and for West Ham fans, it could be another test of whether the club can keep hold of their top talents for the fight ahead.
