Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Wendy Shay, has opened up about her personal life, revealing that she is currently single due to trust issues that have developed over the course of her career in the music industry.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime TV, the “Survivor” hitmaker explained that several experiences since she entered the entertainment scene have made her more cautious and sometimes even paranoid about relationships.
“I have trust issues. Several things have happened to me since I came into the music industry, and that has made me a bit paranoid,” she said.
Touching on the kind of man she would eventually settle down with, Wendy Shay emphasized that she values character and shared purpose over physical appearance or wealth.
“I have grown to know that there is more to life than appearances. I am really such a soul-fixed person. You will have to be involved in my vision,” she stated.
Wendy further explained that her ideal partner must understand her work as a performer, especially given the nature of her stagecraft.
“This work that I am doing, I need someone to understand because I am on the stage, I’m twerking, and I know men are jealous. You have to understand that what she is doing is just part of the work,” she added.
