Wendy Shay was caught in a tense moment with the media personality live on air
There was a tense moment in the studios of Hitz FM on October 14, 2025, when singer Wendy Shay confronted entertainment journalist Kwame Dadzie over claims that he had spoken negatively about her in the past.
During a live discussion, Wendy Shay accused Kwame Dadzie of being one of the media personalities who had made unfavourable comments about her career.
The “Survivor” hitmaker seemed convinced that the journalist had once compared her to the late Ebony Reigns, a claim that Kwame Dadzie denied.
Kwame Dadzie, who appeared surprised by the accusation, defended himself, insisting that he had never spoken ill of Wendy Shay at any point in his career as a critic.

“I have never in my life run down an artist. Everything I do as a critique is based on facts. There is nothing like that, and I’m saying this right here, I have never had any issue with you. I’ve never said anything bad against you,” he said.
Kwame Dadzie explained that the first time he met Wendy Shay in person was during a live recording of Sammy Flex’s show, where they interacted. He added that he had consistently written positive things about her.
“The first time we met was on Sammy Flex’s live studio show. I was just seated by you. There were times I think somebody even took a photo; I was wearing yellow, I remember,” he recalled.
Kwame Dadzie went on to mention that even Wendy Shay’s manager, Bullet, could attest to the fact that he had often supported her.
“Even before we came here, we were talking about the great work you’ve done over the years, even Bullet will tell you, ask him,” he said.
However, the heated exchange took a different turn when Wendy Shay’s team stepped in to clarify that there had been a mix-up.
They informed the singer that the person who had made the alleged negative remarks was not Kwame Dadzie, but rather another media personality, Nana Kwame Gyan.
“So I think my team has updated me, it’s Kwame Gyan, rather,” Wendy Shay admitted after receiving the correction during the live show.
