Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay, has broken her silence on the key role she played in brokering peace between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy after their infamous clash.
The two dancehall giants made headlines during the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (now Telecel Ghana Music Awards) when tensions erupted on stage. The incident saw Stonebwoy pulling a gun after Shatta Wale and his entourage approached him, sparking widespread condemnation across the industry.
While many credited entrepreneur Dr. Kofi Amoa-Abban and media personality Nana Aba Anamoah for facilitating the reconciliation, Wendy Shay has now revealed her pivotal involvement in setting the peace process in motion.
In a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, monitored by Zionfelix.net, Wendy Shay disclosed that she was the one who connected Dr. Amoa-Abban with Shatta Wale.

“I was the one who gave Dr. Abban Shatta Wale’s number after he called me saying he wanted to speak with him,” she recounted, adding that Stonebwoy was also contacted shortly afterward.
She explained that her visit to Dr. Amoa-Abban’s home came after winning the New Artiste of the Year award in 2019. During the visit, she presented him with her plaque, as he was a sponsor of her first-ever Shay Concert.
