Minister of Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor Minister of Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor

The Minister of Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor, has called on Ghanaians to exercise patience as the government works to resolve the country’s power challenges.

He assured the public that measures are being put in place to address the recurring issues in the energy sector.

Jinapor explained that the government inherited a fragile energy sector, which has contributed to the current erratic power supply.

However, he emphasised that efforts are underway to implement long-term solutions that will ensure stability.

“We inherited a very weak energy sector. Ghanaians should bear with us as we work to fix the problems permanently,” he stated.

He further assured citizens that the ongoing power disruptions would soon be resolved.

“The current erratic supply situation should be stable in two weeks,” he added, expressing confidence in the government’s intervention strategies.

The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the energy sector to prevent future challenges.

He urged the public to remain patient as authorities work towards achieving a sustainable and reliable power supply for the country.

He made this appeal while speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Thursday, 20th February 2025.
