Weir Minerals West Africa has been honoured with the Company of the Year (Mining Equipment and Solutions) award at the 2025 Africa Best Business Awards (ABBA), recognising its excellence in engineering innovation, safety, and operational efficiency across the region’s mining industry.

The award highlights Weir Minerals’ continued leadership in providing advanced mining equipment and sustainable solutions that enhance productivity and environmental performance for clients across Ghana and West Africa.

Receiving the award at the ceremony in Accra on November 7, 2025, the company expressed appreciation to the organisers and reaffirmed Weir Minerals’ commitment to driving sustainable mining operations through technology and capacity development.

Weir Minerals West Africa, a subsidiary of the global Weir Group, has played a significant role in modernising Ghana’s mining operations through the supply of high-performance pumps, crushers, valves, and wear-resistant materials designed for long-term durability in harsh mining environments.

The company also provides technical training, local workforce development, and after-sales support, reinforcing its reputation for reliability and customer-focused service.

The Africa Best Business Awards, organised by Delve Afrique Communications and Maven Communications with support from Zeliatte Media, celebrates business excellence and innovation across multiple industries, including manufacturing, energy, finance, and technology.

This year’s event, themed “Honouring Business Brilliance, Shaping Africa’s Future,” recognised over 30 leading companies and entrepreneurs from across the continent for their outstanding performance, resilience, and sustainable impact.

Weir Minerals’ award underscores its vital contribution to strengthening Africa’s mining ecosystem and aligns with its global mission to enable smarter mining through innovation and responsible resource management.
