    Fighter of the Year heads tribute to Duran card

    One day after being elected the best Panamanian boxer of the 2024 season, Ricardo “El Cientifico” Nuñez (25-6, 22 KOs) declares himself ready to start a successful 2025 facing Mexican super light Jorge Batalla (10-4, 8 KOs) in the co-main event of the Roberto Duran tribute card, scheduled by Brambri Duran Entertainment for Friday night.

    Nuñez, ranked #13 by WBC in the lightweight division, weighed 139.5 pounds and Batalla weighed 138.25 for the 10-round clash to take place at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City, Panama.

    In the main event, billed as “The Gold Battle”, Panamanian Alexander “El Zurdo de Oro” Durán (21-2, 7 KOs) weighed 152 pounds to face Venezuelan Roiman “El Flaco de Oro” Villa (26-3, 24 KOs) who weighed in 148.75.
