Montreal powerhouse Steven Butler (37-5-1, 31 KOs) will look to avenge the honor of Eye of the Tiger when he takes on Swiss upset artist Ramadan Hiseni (22-2-2, 8 KOs) tomorrow night at the Casino de Montréal. In the past, Hiseni has pulled off upset performances over EOTTM’s Shamil Khataev and Alex Gaumont, but the stakes rise significantly against Butler, as the two men will battle for the WBA Continental super middleweight championship (168 lb).
In the co-main event, Eye of the Tiger’s recruit and powerful Cuban Lenar Perez (15-0, 14 KOs), will attempt to capture the WBA Continental Light Heavyweight Championship (200 lb) against former world title challenger and African veteran Isaac Chilemba (27-10-3, 11 KOs).
At super lightweight (140 lb), Montreal-based Colombian and WBC Continental Champion Jhon Orobio (16-0, 14 KOs) will make the third defense of his title against Puerto Rican brawler Yomar Alamo (22-5-1, 13 KOs). Rounding out the championship quartet, Marc Ramsay protégé and Montreal-based Moreno Fendero (13-0, 10 KOs) will attempt to become WBC Continental Super Middleweight Champion (168 lb) when he faces American Shawn McCalman (17-1, 8 KOs).
Former uper-lightweight world title challenger Steve Claggett (39–8–2, 27 KOs) will also return to the ring after more than 16 months of inactivity. In what is a noteworthy milestone, the “Dragon” from Calgary will not only be aiming for his 40th professional victory, but will also be competing in the 50th fight of his career against Alejandro Frias (21-12-2, 12 KO).
Also in action, Trois-Rivières native Daylen Pepin (1-0) will make his lightweight (135 lb) debut in a 4-round bout against El Bosque, Chile’s Felipe Bocaz (3-2, 1 KO). Completing the seven-fight card, talented Longueuil boxer and Mike Moffa protégé Dante Tice (2-0) will fight for the second time in two months. He will face Czech fighter Patrik Velky (2-4-1, 1 KO) in a 4-round super welterweight (152 lb) contest.
Presented to a sold-out crowd, the card begins at 6:30 PM and will air in its entirety exclusively on Punching Grace in Quebec, with TVA Sports broadcasting the undercard. Outside Quebec, the #ButlerHiseni event will stream worldwide on DAZN as part of a new agreement between Eye of the Tiger and the international broadcaster.
