Nations FC cruised to a 3-0 win over Legon Cities at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

A first-half brace by Nafiu Sulemana and Barimah Baah’s strike after the recess were enough to return Nations to winning ways.

Mingle’s side broke the deadlock just seven minutes into the game through Sulemana.

The hosts doubled their lead after they were awarded a penalty before the break and upstepped Sulemana to send Cities’ goalie, Joseph Kuma, the wrong way.

Nations were coasting at 2-0 after the recess and continued to dominate the game as they did in the first half.

Baohen set up Barimah Baah to score their third in the 66th minute, which put the game beyond the Royals.

Nations sit in 4th position on the league standings after the win with 25 points, two behind league-leading Heart of Lions.

Cities remain rooted to the bottom of the league log with 11 points as their struggles continue.

Nations are away to defending champions Samartex for their next game, while Cities will host Aduana Stars.
