Hearts of Oak won their match against Vision FC Friday evening

Hearts of Oak secured back-to-back victories with a 1-0 win over Vision FC at the University of Ghana Stadium on Friday night.

The win sees the Phobians climbing to fourth place on the table, just four points from the summit. This follows last week’s impressive 2-0 away triumph over Medeama in Tarkwa, signaling a strong resurgence for the Accra-based side.

The lone goal came from 21-year-old Mawuli Wayo, who was quick to capitalise on a header that fell into his path, slotting the ball into the net.

Despite Vision enjoying 53% of possession, Hearts showed greater intent, registering 12 goal attempts with three on target, while Vision failed to test the Phobians’ goalkeeper, missing out on a single shot on target from their seven attempts.

This marks the first time Hearts of Oak have won consecutive games this season, a feat that brings renewed optimism for the club and their fans.

The Phobians have tightened their defense while remaining effective up front, showcasing a balanced game plan under their current coaching setup.

Looking ahead, Hearts will aim to build on this momentum as they prepare to face Karela United in their next fixture, hopeful of closing the gap further in the title race. Vision, meanwhile, will look to regroup after a disappointing night, setting sights on a comeback performance against Dreams FC.
