General Manager of FC Samartex, Edmund Ackah, says his side will compete and win every game ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 football season.

The Timber Giants struggled last season, which led to the team parting ways with Nurudeen Adamu, who led the club to clinch their first Premier League title.

Samartex finished 7th on the league log under Christopher Ennin.

As they prepare for the upcoming season, Ackah says their aim and ambition are to win every game.

“We are a championship club, and we are contestants,” he told Takoradi-based Connect FM.

“We enter every competition to contest for it, and the leadership of the club always works hard to maintain that status,” he said.

He stressed that relegation fears are never part of their thinking.

“We don’t play the league with the mind of surviving; we play to contest for it,” Ackah added.

Samartex will kick off their campaign with an away game against Vision FC.
