Hearts of Oak assistant coach Yaw Amankwah has emphasized the need for improvement in the team’s finishing as they continue their campaign in the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup.

Despite sitting 6th on the league table with 30 points from 18 matches, the Phobians remain optimistic about their chances.

Amankwah acknowledged the team’s ability to create goal-scoring opportunities but stressed the importance of converting those chances into goals.

Their recent 1-1 draw away from home was a stark reminder of their struggle to turn solid chances into goals.

“We need to go and work hard on scoring and then get a better win at home. We are going to work on it and start from there. Next game, we will do better,” he said after their game against Holy Stars.

“We are playing in the league. The league is tough. We are going home to prepare very well and win our home game.”

Hearts of Oak face a crucial test against Heart of Lions on January 31st, a match that could prove pivotal for their league ambitions.
