Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Nartey Ogum, has emphasised the importance of confidence and composure as his team prepares to face FC Samartex in a crucial Ghana Premier League match this weekend.

The two sides will meet on Sunday, October 20, 2024, in what promises to be an exciting contest in Week 7 of the Ghanaian top-flight league.

Speaking ahead of the game, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum acknowledged the strengths of the opponent, praising FC Samartex’s tactical organisation and structure on the field.

“I think Samartex is a very good side. A well-structured side. In terms of their arrangements on the field, you see that they have a structure and a style. They are a good side,” Coach Ogum remarked.

Despite the challenge, the Kotoko coach expressed confidence in his team’s ability to rise to the occasion, particularly with the advantage of playing at home.

“We just have to be confident, we have to be determined, and we have to be composed. We are playing at home. The support will be behind us,” he stated.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum believes that with the right mindset and determination, Kotoko can secure all three points.

“The players have to believe that it is doable. We are confident, and I believe that we can get the job done,” the Kotoko coach said.

Asante Kotoko will be looking to build momentum in the Ghana Premier League, and this match against FC Samartex offers a prime opportunity for the team to showcase their talent and tactical discipline in front of their home fans.

The match will kick off at 3 pm at Len Clay Sports Stadium.
