Black Sherif has confirmed that he submitted a nomination for the 2026 Grammy Awards.

Speaking with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, the award-winning artiste revealed the categories for which he filed. “Yes, we did, we filed for African Music Performance and Global,” he said.

“I will be happy if they nominate me, but like I said, it doesn’t even shift me if I am not nominated. I am not touched, I am not pushed.”

He also expressed optimism about Ghanaian musicians earning Grammy recognition in the future, highlighting the country’s growing music industry.
