Two female students almost set their house on fire while preparing Ofada sauce, as the pot they were using to make the sauce caught fire during the palm oil bleaching process.

In a video posted on TikTok, the lady @islamiyahbakare shared a pot full of roaring flames after her roommate attempted bleaching palm oil for Ofada sauce.

Before moving the pot to the yard and covering it to stop the fire from spreading further, the woman added that they were torn between removing it from the kitchen and leaving it on the gas.

TikTok users have shared similar experiences, giving insight on how to prevent fire from escalating while cooking.
