Former Black Stars midfielder, Laryea Kingston found himself on the receiving end of some playful discipline during the latest Monday Stars game at East Legon’s Bawaleshie Park.

Kingston, who, according to reports, had been absent from the weekly matches for a long time, was tasked with performing push-ups, a punishment handed down by fellow ex-Black Stars player Augustine Ahinful.

True to his easygoing nature, Kingston took the punishment in good faith, immediately going down and completing the push-ups as instructed, much to the amusement of onlookers.

The gesture was met with cheers from fellow ex-players and fans, turning the moment into one of humor and camaraderie rather than embarrassment.

The Monday Stars games are a casual yet competitive gathering where retired Ghanaian internationals and former club stars come together to enjoy football.

Alongside Kingston, former stars such as Dede Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Haminu Draman, and several others regularly lace up for the friendly fixtures.

In the end, the game continued with Laryea getting back on the field to play.
