AC Milan forward Rafael Leão nearly celebrated himself into trouble on Sunday, October 19, 2025, but his quick-thinking teammates came to the rescue in a hilarious moment that has gone viral.

Leão, who ended a 17-month goal drought at San Siro, scored twice to seal a 2-1 comeback win over Fiorentina, sending Milan back to the top of the Serie A table.

The Portuguese winger’s second goal, a coolly converted penalty in the dying minutes, sparked wild celebrations from both players and fans.

In the heat of the moment, Leão began to pull off his shirt in classic goal-celebration fashion, aware that doing so would earn him an automatic yellow card.

But just as the shirt was halfway over his head, vice-captain Matteo Gabbia stepped in and tugged it back down, laughing as he wrapped an arm around the forward to keep him in check.

The scene drew laughter from teammates and supporters alike, with cameras capturing Leão’s wide grin as he realized what had happened.
