Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has, for the first time in his career, performed in Jamaica, marking a significant milestone.
He shared the stage with his long-time icon, Vybz Kartel, in what he described as a dream come true.
Though Shatta Wale performed just three of his many hits, he viewed the opportunity as a platform to introduce his brand to the international community.
During the performance, an overwhelmed Shatta Wale knelt down to express his gratitude for being included in the Freedom Street concert lineup by Vybz Kartel.
“Thank you so much. I’ve never performed in Jamaica before; this is my first time. I’ve always wished to perform with you on stage. God bless you, Jamaica. I love you,” Shatta Wale said.
