There were emotional scenes from the home of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso East, the late Mohamed Naser Toure Mahama, when his mortal remains arrived from the hospital.
GhanaWeb’s team at the residence captured the emotions of relations and mourners paying respects.
Tears rolled down the faces of a number of people who appeared devastated by the death of Naser Toure Mahama, who has represented the people of Ayawaso East in Parliament since 2012.
The team also met a number of National Democratic Congress (NDC) legislators who expressed their shock about the demise of their Greater Accra NDC Caucus chairman.
A number of MPs eulogised Naser Toure Mahama, who they described as a man of substance and a great leader.
Most of the MPs narrated how the experienced Ayawaso East legislator helped them settle in the House.
Naser Toure Mahama was reported dead on the afternoon of Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Naser Toure Mahama, born on March 17, 1965, in Nima, Accra, was a seasoned politician who represented the Ayawaso East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on the ticket of the NDC.
He first entered Parliament in 2012 after winning the seat in the general elections and was re-elected in subsequent polls, including a resounding victory in the 2024 elections, where he garnered over 70% of the votes.
A businessman by profession, Mahama had a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Central University, a Diploma in Governance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Doshisha University in Japan.
