Accra Hearts of Oak supporters on the evening of Sunday, February 15, 2026, took to the streets and sports bars in Kumasi to celebrate their victory against rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians defeated the Porcupine Warriors by a lone goal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on matchday 22 of the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak centre-back Baba Adamu’s goal in the 14th minute was enough for the Phobians to end Asante Kotoko’s home invincibility this season.
Videos circulating across social media captured jubilant supporters clad in Hearts of Oak colours celebrating over drinks at pubs and eateries shortly after the match in Kumasi.
For many Hearts of Oak supporters, this victory was significant because it was the Phobian’s first win against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi in 5 seasons.
The victory sees Hearts move within five points of league leaders Medeama and remain in contention for the title as they sit second on the table, while Kotoko remain outside the top four.
