Former WBC Heavyweight Champion, Deontay Wilder was involved in a dramatic on-air confrontation after tempers flared during a live appearance on talkBOXING ahead of his April 4, 2026, showdown with Derek Chisora at London’s O2 Arena.
Deontay Wilder on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, joined Chisora in the studio to promote their upcoming fight, but the interview took a fiery turn when host Simon Jordan pressed Wilder about his trilogy with Tyson Fury.
The first fight between the two in 2018 ended in a draw before Fury stopped Wilder in their 2020 and 2021 rematches.

Wilder made it clear he did not want to revisit the subject.
“No, I won’t talk about him. We are not going to talk about him at all,” Wilder insisted when Fury’s name was mentioned.
However, Jordan continued to question him, referencing Wilder’s past claims that Fury cheated, including allegations about spiked water and tampered equipment. That was the tipping point.
“I know the truth, I have the facts. What I say in boxing is the truth. I risk my life for your entertainment,” Wilder added.
The American heavyweight then escalated the exchange, suggesting race played a role in how his claims were received.
“Why is it so much harder to believe a black man than a white man?” he asked, accusing Jordan of having “white privilege.”
Jordan rejected the accusation, saying race had nothing to do with the discussion. As tensions rose, Wilder stood up and moved toward the host before security intervened.
Moments later, the 40-year-old left the studio, cutting the interview short in chaotic fashion.
