Niger produced a performance of a lifetime to beat Sudan 4-0 in the penultimate game of Group F of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Niger, who had scored just one goal in the previous four matches, displayed great attacking skills to maul Sudan at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Goals from Youssouf Oumarou, Ousseini Badasmassi, and Daniel Sosah (brace) helped Niger secure an emphatic victory over Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

Despite pressure from Sudan to come back into the game, their efforts were not enough to penetrate Niger’s defensive setup.

The result comes as a relief for the Black Stars, who must win their two remaining games and hope Sudan loses their last match against Angola to stand a chance of qualifying.

As things stand, Angola are leading Group F with twelve points, Sudan are second with seven points, Niger are third with four points, and Ghana are at the bottom with just two points.

The Black Stars will take on Angola today, November 15, 2024, in a must-win encounter at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Angola.

Ahead of the game, coach Otto Addo has urged Ghanaians to tone down the criticism and rally behind the Black Stars.
