The Black Stars recorded a 1-0 win over Comoros in 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The game, played at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025, saw Ghanaian fans filling the stadium to capacity to boost the morale of the players.

The first half was underwhelming for Ghana as they could not penetrate the defense of Comoros who were resilient at the back.

Semenyo, Jordan Ayew and Kudus’ attacking prowess were below par as they were unable to beat their markers.

However, the players returned for the second half with aggression and sharpness which paid off after some few minutes.

In the 49th minute, Thomas Partey laid a nice pass to Kudus Mohammed who neatly converted it for the first goal.

After 10 matches played in group I, Ghana topped with 25 points, Madagascar second with 19 points, Mali third with 18 points, Comoros 15, Central African Republic 8 and Chad in sixth place with 1.
