Gideon Mensah nutmegs his maker
Black Stars left-back, Gideon Mensah, put his technical ability on display as he beautifully nutmegged Stade Rennais’ Hans Hateboer during Auxerre’s win over Rennes on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Mensah pulled off the skill to bail himself out of a press and progress his team’s play from the back.
The Ghanaian had a stellar performance in the comprehensive 4-0 win while playing as a left-wing back.
He had the most tackles in the game (4) and won the most duels (13) while playing full-throttle. He had an 8.1 rating by FotMob, the third-highest in the game.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Elisha Owusu played 85 minutes in the triumph before being replaced by Florian Aye.
Auxerre have moved up to 10th on the table with 13 points after 10 games in the French Ligue 1.
